My name's Rafael but people call me Rafa. I'm a designer and art director from Brazil living and working in Los Angeles, CA. I graduated in graphic design with emphasis on typography at UAM. Art and design are my passions and I always try to transmit them in my work by adding value to products and services, bringing relevance to brands and solving problems.

Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with amazing people and the biggest brands like Netflix, Gatorade, Nike, MTV, Acura, Patrón Tequila, AB InBev (Corona, Skol, Guaraná Antarctica), Mizuno, Nissan, Whirpool among others.

I've also had the chance to work for great agencies such as Wieden + Kennedy, F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, TBWA, FCB and now at MullenLowe Los Angeles.

Where I had the opportunity to help launch a new design studio - MullenLowe Design Studio. The studio unites the existing design practices within the agency’s Boston, New York and Los Angeles offices, aiming to elevate the craft and design of the network and our clients.
